Postwar American Abstraction: Downing, Loving, and Pollock

237 East Palace Ave Santa Fe, NM, USA Friday, May 3, 2013–Tuesday, June 25, 2013

Peyton Wright Gallery welcomes summer with a diverse collection of Postwar American painting and sculpture. Expanding on the Gallery's longstanding practice of exhibiting established Postwar and modernist artists, Postwar American Abstraction: Downing, Loving, and Pollock will feature a broad selection of works by leading practitioners of these historically important genres.

This exhibition provides the Gallery an opportunity to introduce recently acquired work from artists including Edward Dugmore, Roy Lichtenstein, and Paul Reed; in addition it is a chance to showcase established estate artists represented by Peyton Wright Gallery, such as Herbert Bayer, Oskar Fischinger, and Sewell Sillman.
