Saint Louis
The Philip Slein Gallery has scoured the New York art world for the best work available and we are pleased to present Works On Paper 2015, a broad range of drawings by some of the country's leading artists. Some are old friends that have not been shown here in recent years including Carroll Dunham, Richard Artschwager, Alice Maher, and Bill Jensen. Ron Gorchov's recent large-scale sculpture/painting was recently seen at the Contemporary Art Museum St. Louis, but his intimate watercolors on exhibition at the Philip Slein Gallery add a different dimension to viewing his work. Philip Taaffe’s large-scale paintings on paper give a fresh perspective to our understanding of his oeuvre as well. Dan Walsh’s inclusion precedes an upcoming exhibition in the gallery’s project space, while Wardell Milan introduces St. Louis to work which is taking New York by storm. The Philip Slein Gallery invites collectors and art-lovers alike to come down to the Central West End to visit the gallery and see the best of what the art world has to offer. Who knows? You just might get lucky!
