Traveled to Europe where he studied at the Dusseldorf Academy in Germany and later painted in Paris and London

Luks returned to Pennsylvania and started his career as a newspaper artist/illustrator for the Philadelphia Press

1896 - 1897

Luks moved to New York and began his art career there as the premier humorist artist for the New York World

1896

Evening Bulletin sent Luks to Cuba as a war correspondent for the Spanish American War

1902

Became a painter and art teacher

1933

Died on October 29 in New York, NY
