Scott White Contemporary Art is delighted to share William Glen Crooks "The Last Picture Show", an exhibition featuring paintings produced over the last two decades including a wonderful selection of recent works. The exhibition will be on view from April 27th through May 18th, 2018.
Ranging from an urban scene, a historic Los Angeles intersection, a plein air study of a working farm, and a desert railroad crossing, the atmospheric quality and marvelous depiction of color and light draw us into each scene, which feels altogether new and familiar. In his essay "Learning from the Landscape: The Art of William Glen Crooks", Robert Pincus, former art critic for the San Diego Union-Tribune, wrote Crooks' paintings "show no signs of declining into formula" and are "worthy of our sustained attention". We invite you to explore this terrific offering, and hope you will agree.
