Art Basel's third Hong Kong edition will feature 233 premier galleries from 37 countries and territories, presenting premier works ranging from the Modern period of the early 20th century to the most Contemporary artists of today. The first edition under the helm of Art Basel's newly appointed director, Asia Adeline Ooi, the show is the premiere event in the region, reinforcing Hong Kong's status as a key international art world destination and a cultural hub for the broader Pan-Asian region. Art Basel is committed to the success of Hong Kong as a vibrant cultural scene and the central nexus for the art market in Asia. Last year's show received over 65,000 visitors, including international collectors and curators, and strong attendance from the Hong Kong public, and we except similar numbers this year.
