Tina Kim Gallery is pleased to participate in the inaugural online edition of Frieze New York with a selection of works by its unique and deeply international roster of artists. For this iteration of the fair, the gallery has chosen to exhibit works by Ghada Amer, Ha Chong-Hyun, Kim Tschang-Yeul, Park Seo-Bo, Davide Balliano, Suki Seokyong Kang, Kibong Rhee, Gimhongsok, Kim Yong-Ik, Minouk Lim, Park Chan-Kyong, and Tania Pérez Córdova. The works exhibited span across media, including painting, sculpture, installation, and video, with an overarching theme of commitment to research, novel exploration of materials, and a monastic dedication to methods of making.
In light of the current circumstances of the world, Tina Kim Gallery is also very excited to partner with Frieze and Artsy on “Tina Kim Gallery Presents: Art Without Borders,” a fundraising effort , selling limited edition collectible tea towels, printed on fine quality cotton with images of works by the gallery’s artists with 100% of the net proceeds donated to Doctors Without Borders/Médicins Sans Frontières (MSF). Within this crisis caused by the novel coronavirus, which spans across all borders and cultures, it has never been more important to find ways to give back however possible. We at Tina Kim Gallery are committed to contributing to the global effort using the tools and partnerships available to us. In this unprecedented historical moment, we must find ways to remain connected within our communities, as well as to humanity as a whole. Editions can be purchased via Artsy or through the Frieze Online Platform.
Though we are sadly not able to physically be together during this time, we at Tina Kim Gallery look forward to presenting works by our artists in a new type of art fair, adapted to our changing reality, and to connecting with our community despite the circumstances. Please “stop by” and “say hello!”
