Tina Kim Gallery is pleased to return to TEFAF New York, taking place at the historic Park Ave Armory from May 12 - 16, 2023. The gallery will spotlight contemporary artists from across our roster, featuring works by Pacita Abad (1946-2004), a pioneer of the trapunto painting technique. Abad is the subject of a major touring retrospective, currently at the Walker Art Center. “Pacita Abad: Colors of My Dream” will be on view at Tina Kim Gallery in Chelsea from May 18 through June 17. Also on view will be paintings by Wook-Kyung Choi (1940-1985), who with strong influence from Abstract Expressionism and Pop Art, made a lasting contribution to the history of Korean Art by challenging the orthodoxy of the mainstream Korean art scene of her time. Also on view will be works by Dansaekhwa masters, including Ha Chong-Hyun, Kim Tschang-Yeul, Kwon Young-Woo, and Park Seo-Bo. Sculptural work by Japanese American Minoru Niizuma, ceramic moon jar by Yoona Hur, and new works by Kibong Rhee will also be part of our presentation.
