Alexander Churchill is a contemporary American painter whose works are an absurdist examination of his own ignorance’s and privileges and their upward scalability. Culture, race, heritage, place, purpose, and societal participation come into play when looking at the experiential niche he occupies. Chaotic and incoherent color schemes intermingle with complacent subject matter and competing painting styles, creating an anxiety that leaves the viewer with a sense of disharmonious engagement. Born in 1983, he holds a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Art from Green Mountain College, Vermont. Alexander currently lives and works in Connecticut, USA.
