Arnold Kastenbaum, born in 1953 is a contemporary film based artist. A master printer working exclusively in film and gelatin silver prints his goal is to create a sense of surprise at seeing a simple object in a new way and takes some inspiration from Mies van der Rohe who once noted that “An interesting plainness is the most difficult and precious thing to achieve.” Notable exhibits include 2020 ArtsWestchester Larry Salley first place winner, 2018 Westchester Magazine outstanding visual artist, Best in Show at NYC Javits Contemporary Art Fair. He lives and works in Westchester, NY.
