Blair Seagram is a contemporary American artist, known for her large scale panoramic photographs of surfing and seascapes. The wide format pictures were inspired by a vista in the Yukon that no single frame of a 35mm camera could capture. Following the eye of the photographer, the camera documents the visual field with a series of overlapping shots. Later the series of single images is assembled to create a wider picture. In her Surfing Series, Seagram utilizes her masterful style in time delay to capture a unique sense of action and movement.
