Fantagraphics Books co-publisher Kim Thompson offered Ware a regular comics series

“Jimmy Corrigan” published at Fantagraphics

Pantheon Books published Ware's Jimmy Corrigan: The Smartest Kid on Earth as a hardcover book

Jimmy Corrigan was the winner of the Guardian First Book Award and an American Book Award

Lives in the Chicago area with his wife Marnie and their daughter Clara
