Heidi Lewis Coleman is an American artist whose Dreamscape Series reflects an exploration of imaginary landscapes inspired by the ancient lands of mythology and cultural lore, whether historical, fictional or fantastical. The artist creates her mixed media pieces using thin washes of acrylic paint, building up layer after layer of artwork that embodies an atmospheric, ephemeral quality. Coleman was born in 1958 in the state of Washington. She studied art at Parsons and the New York School of Design, where she received an Associates Degree. Private collections, include Spinnaker Partners in South Norwalk, Connecticut and Archonix Systems in Cranford, New Jersey. She is a juried member of the National Association of Women Artists, the Women’s Caucus for Art. Her work has been exhibited the Mattatuck Museum, Hammond Museum and the Katonah Museum of Art. Coleman resides and works in Fairfield, Connecticut.
