Jonathan Horowitz (American, born )

Jonathan Horowitz (American, b.1966) is a Contemporary artist working in photography, installation, video, and sculpture. Born in New York, he studied philosophy at Wesleyan University, receiving his BA in 1987. His earliest solo exhibitions took place in 1998 at Green Naftali Gallery and Kenny Schachter/Rove in New York, and he has since gone on to show his work all over the world. Other solo presentations include those at Galerie Yvon Lambert in Paris, Gavin Brown’s Enterprise in New York, Galerie Barbara Weiss in Berlin, and P.S. 1 Contemporary Art Center in Queens, among others. In 2012, a traveling museum exhibition, Your Land/My Land: Election ‘12, addressed the presidential election, and was presented by the New Museum in New York, the Hammer Museum in Los Angeles, and the Utah Museum of Contemporary Art, among others.

He lives and works in New York.
