Abstract painter and engraver. In 1950 he moved to New York and joined the New York School. Participated in exhibitions with the painters of Action Painting. Some of his most important exhibitions: The Arts Club, Chicago Guggenheim Museum, New York Museum for Contemporary Arts, Dallas Whitney Museum, New York In 2000, the José Guerrero Art Center was inaugurated in Granada (Spain)
