Ekaterina Kabalina is a contemporary Russian artist known for her graphic paintings. Born in 1995 in Dneprodzerzhinsk, she grew up in a family of artists. Ekaterina graduated from the St. Petersburg State Institute of Culture with a degree in museology in 2017, practiced in the New Museum of Modern Art in St. Petersburg and the Moscow Museum of Modern Art. Throughout her career, Kabalina has worked on a variety of scales and with diverse materials exploring the themes of the human psyche and the relationship of affective states with rational consciousness. Studying the nature of man, Kabalina addresses thus to cosmogonic mythologies and social effects of a mass society. At the moment Ekaterina works with graphics, paintings, videos and audio-visual installations. Lives and works in Moscow.
