Kaye Donachie (Scottish, born )

Kaye Donachie (British, b.1970) is a Contemporary painter whose Figurative, atmospheric paintings are animated by her interest in countercultural history, utopian projects, and female heroines. Donachie received an MA in Painting from the Royal College of Art in London in 1997. She has had solo exhibitions at Malvern Arts Centre in Worcester, England (1992), Maureen Paley Interim Art and Maureen Paley Gallery in London (1998, 2004, 2005, 2010, and 2013), Artists Space in New York (2004), Peres Projects in Los Angeles (2005), John Connelly Presents in New York (2006), Marianne Boesky Gallery in New York (2009), and Peres Projects in Berlin (2009). She has also exhibited at the Walker Art Gallery in Liverpool, England (1999), the Tate Triennial at Tate Britain (2006), the Musée d’Art Contemporain in Bordeaux, France (2007), and Tate St. Ives (2009). She lives and works in London.
