Liz Dexheimer is a contemporary American painter and printmaker. Her monotypes, which explore the dynamic that occurs as layers of color, pattern and form react and interact, incorporate elaborate combinations of gestural linear and fluid elements informed by and suggesting the inherent energies of the human form and of wetland environments. Born in 1960, she received a BA from Oberlin College in Ohio and continued her studies at the School of Visual Arts and Parsons School of Design, both in Manhattan. Dexheimer's work is in a number of corporate and public collections including The State of Connecticut, Frontier Communications, Hudson Insurance, JW Nordstrom, Inc, United Peoples Bank. She lives and works in Connecticut.
