Louise Cadoux is a Swedish born American sculptor and painter. “My art is an exploration of the human mind. What makes us tick? What do we hold dear? Holy? What do we dream about? How does power affect us? When I work I’m playing and telling a story. I use a variety of materials; clay, wire, paper mache, wood and concrete. Most of my pieces are somewhat mobile, as the interplay of movement, shadow, and negative space is part of the work” Cadoux writes of her work. Born in Stockholm, Sweden in1958, Louise graduated from the University of Uppsala, and also has a degree in textile design from FIT. She exhibits her work in Europe, NY and CT. She lives and works in Bridgeport, CT and Cotacachi, Ecuador.
