Influenced Barbizon School
Student of Diaz, Lefebvre and Boulanger
He received an honorable mention in the Salon of 1885 and second class medals in the Salons of 1888 and 1901. Richet was known for his verdant landscapes, and his influence as a landscapist was strongly felt by the members of the Barbizon movement. He is represented in many collections including the museums of Leeds, Montreal, Nice and Reims. He died in Fontainebleau on March 26, 1907 in the small village of Seine-et-Marne.
