Timeline
Peggy Dembicer is a contemporary American fiber and mixed media artist noted for intricate beaded tapestries, modern and colorful 2D and 3D weaving, and the creative application of recycled material in framed and sculptural artwork. Her designs draw inspiration from popular culture, geometric patterns and through the reimagining of iconic imagery.
Born in 1950, Dembicer received her Bachelor of Arts from S.U.N.Y New Paltz. Her work is in private collections throughout the U.S. Her art has been exhibited at the New Britain Museum of American Art, the Fuller Craft Museum and the Slater Memorial Museum and can be viewed at galleries throughout the Northeast. Dembicer lives and works in Avon, CT. Thanks,
