A mature American painter living in Florence for the past twenty years, Richard Maury is at the height of his very successful career of rendering both figurative and still life paintings. His intimate portrayals of his home and family life bathed in natural light are truly breathtaking. Born in Washington in 1935, Richard Maury studied at The University of Maryland in Baltimore. Having numerous solo-exhibitions in New York, Washington, London and Italy, Mr. Maury is also represented in various public collections including The Arnot Museum in Elmira, NY, The Arts Students League in New York, NY, The Flint Institute of Arts, Flint, MI, The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, NY, New Britain Museum of American Art in New Britain, CT, and the Uffizi Gallery in Italy.
