Rosy Keyser (American, born )

Rosy Keyser (American, b.1974) is a leading Contemporary painter, known for working in large-scale gestural, tactile abstraction. Frequently incorporating found detritus in her work such as beer cans, tarp, and sawdust, Keyser’s work investigate the medium of painting in a bodily, aggressive way. Born in Baltimore, MD, she received her BFA from Cornell University and her MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She lives and works in both Brooklyn and Medusa, NY.
