Bruce Silverstein is pleased to participate in the second iteration of Art Basel’s digital platform designed to connect galleries and collectors from around the world.
The gallery’s presentation will focus on works representing architecture and man-made landscapes from the 20th century through the present day. Whether by constructing iconic monuments such as the Eiffel Tower, building cities that reach into the sky, or planting mesmerizing and intricate gardens, humankind has left an indelible mark on the earth.
The feats and functionality of human intervention bring to mind the writing of John Ruskin -- “Without architecture there would be no remembering.”
Art Basel Online Viewing Rooms launch at 1:00pm CET on June 19th and remain live until 1:00pm CET on June 26th
The presentation will feature works by Berenice Abbott, Constantin Brancusi, Harry Callahan, Adger Cowans, Louis Draper, Elger Esser, Mishka Henner, Todd Hido, André Kertész, Germaine Krull, Alfred Leslie, Yao Lu, Jaroslav Rossler, David Smith, Frederick Sommer, Alfred Stieglitz, Marjan Teeuwen, Edward Weston, and Michael Wolf
