"A question I've heard so many times at group shows... "is this all by the same artist?"
No, look around you, so many different styles, of course it's not. Then I thought actually, I can do this... a group show by one solo artist.
With this show I wanted to compliment what JFA is known for with exhibiting works from the vibrant NYC East Village Art scene of the 1980’s when so many great artists who expressed themselves through their art.
Much of the works back then were experimental, unique and collaborated by the artists, overlapping from one room to another-one frame or painting to another.
A show like this hasn't been done, there may be a good reason for that... "
