Oeno Gallery is proud to present an exhibition of evocative mixed media works by Peter Hoffer and photographic memoirs by celebrated, PEC-based writer and artist Shani Mootoo. The exhibition is available Friday, October 9 through Sunday, November 1, 2020.   

Hoffer holds an MFA from Concordia University and degrees from the University of Guelph and OCAD University. His paintings are in the collections of the Musée des Beaux Arts, the Musée du Quèbec and the Kitchener-Waterloo Art Gallery.   

Shani Mootoo is an internationally recognized author and visual artist who has been longlisted for the Booker Man Prize. She holds a BFA from Western University and an MA in English from the University of Guelph. Her visual art has been exhibited in Vancouver, New York’s Museum of Modern Art, Houston and the Venice Biennale. Mootoo’s most recent book, Polar Vortex, has been short-listed for the 2020 Giller Prize.
