Tina Kim Gallery is pleased to announce our major debut presentation at Art Basel Hong Kong, taking place at the Convention and Exhibition Centre from March 26–30, 2024. We will feature a curated selection of artists representing our international, cross-generational, and cross-disciplinary roster, many of whom are garnering attention through major institutional exhibitions and commissions. 

Highlights include work by artist Mire Lee, known for her visceral sculptures that challenge ideas of social acceptability and selfhood. Lee's contributions include participation in the 2022 Venice Biennale, Carnegie International, New Museum, and her recent selection as the next artist to create the Hyundai commission at Tate’s Turbine Hall. 

Filipino-American artist Pacita Abad, widely celebrated for her trapunto paintings, will also be showcased. Pacita is the subject of a major traveling North American retrospective, which recently closed at SFMOMA and is set to be shown at MoMA PS1 in April. 

Busan-born, Colorado-based artist Maia Ruth Lee will present paintings reflecting her longstanding concerns on migration, diaspora, and borders.

Chinese-Indonesian Dutch artist Jennifer Tee, following her debut solo exhibition Ancestral Beginnings, Sessile Beings at our New York space, will showcase work from her Tampan Tulip series, previously exhibited at the Kunstinstituut Melly and Vienna Secession. 

As part of the Kabinett sector, we will feature paintings by the late Kang Seok Ho, who significantly contributed to the field of contemporary Korean painting in the early aughts. 

Our presentation will also include Dansaekhwa artists such as Ha Chong-Hyun, Park Seo-Bo, and Kim Tschang-Yeul. Notably, our exhibition coincides with Only the Young: Experimental Art in Korea, 1960s-1970s, recently opened at the Hammer Museum in Los Angeles.
